In an unprecedented move Governor Steve Sisolak issued an order requiring all State of Nevada Employees who are not fully vaccinated to undergo weekly testing. Essentially segregating and austrocizing those employees who for whatever reason choose not to submit to being vaccinated, Governor Sisolak has pitted the “Vaxxed” against the “Unvaxxed”.
Effective August 15, employees who are not fully vaccinated will be required to take weekly COVID-19 tests and proof of testing and results must be submitted to their human resources officer or department supervisor. Many people who feel this is a gross invasion of their privacy, cross the line as to how far the Federal or State government can go into the private lives of U.S. citizens.
State government workplaces that reach more than 70% vaccination of employees will no longer need to follow the weekly testing protocol, but the masking requirement for employees will remain in place if they work in a county deemed to have substantial or high transmission levels, the governor’s office said.
Conflicting reports that somewhere between 45%- 68.3% of citizens have chosen to take the vaccine. The Biden administration had hoped to have more of the population submit to being vaccinated but historically this has never happened. The yearly Influenza shots only garner 49.9% of people ages 6 months and older.
According to US Facts at least 189,494,180 people or 58% of the population have received at least one vaccine dose. Overall, 163,588,042 people or 50% of the population have been fully vaccinated. These numbers would put those fully vaccinated about the yearly Influenza participation.
While the impact of flu varies, it places a substantial burden on the health of people in the United States each year. CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010.
With these facts know, U.S. citizens still have an aversion to being vaccinated. So why the hesitancy? Much of today’s vaccine hesitancy can be laid squarely at the feet of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party. During the 2020 campaign Democrats were in unison in decrying the attempts of the Trump administration “Operation Warpspeed” which produced the now global vaccination response.
Harris and Biden were quoted as saying “I don’t Trust Trump” so no I wouldn’t trust any vaccine… It is a wonder that more people in the minority community have not opted to refuse to take the vaccine. Refer to the graph above to see the breakdown of people who have received the vaccination.
According to the graph, minorities have suffered the most because of the early efforts by the Biden/Harris administration. Now a full year into the pandemic, the Democrats are attempting to entice and in this latest effort, force State employees to take the vaccine.
